Global Warming (What about Energy Conservation)

Well, you get up everyday and I assume that almost parts of world's population undergoes same rituals. One portion of humanity shave their facial hair with taps running throughout the ritual. One portion brush their teeth with same dis-respect for water running from their taps. Another section, is hardly considerate of lighting in their homes/offices. Looks like they are highly fascinated by "Blitzkrieg". But these are some of the obvious ones. Some other ones, more subtle, but equally responsible for resource wastage are dripping taps and leaky pipes.
Well, we all know about all this, so what is the point behind writing the blog? The point is that all the reading and writing (in other words concerns that we share )about our climate and planet are baseless unless we follow resource and energy conservation activities in our homes, hotels and businesses.
Usually, simple and practical solutions are enough to address the gravest of our problems.

Indian Hockey Federation - In Shambles

There have been various pieces or writings in local media about apathy of IHF towards players both men and women. New angle to it is sort of in-fighting between sports bodies. On the other hand, there are claims coming out about stadiums getting ready and millions of tax payers' money being spent to renovate these. Amidst all this, I decided to try my luck hoping to find out the agency to reach to buy tickets for upcoming world cup in Delhi, India. So, I typed "Hockey World Cup ticket" on google. Results as expected were disappointing with no link to an official agency. I tried to search for the website for IHF itself but all I could get hold of was a link whose homepage displayed "Under Construction" (http://www.indiahockey.org/).
I was amazed and shocked to see that the most important body associated with the sport in a country of more than One billion people did not have a functional web-site even.
A little later, doing more searches on google, I finally reached a page which listed a phone number of Delhi Office of IHF. I decided to try my luck but person on the other line could only manage to give me another local phone number after putting me on hold for good 30 seconds.
I called the number provided but the lady on the other side gave me another phone number to call. I was hoping for it to end somewhere. SO I called the new number provided. Initially, running past the automated answering system, the call finally ended with an abrupt end with no response from the other side. After an hour, I re-tried, but got modem tone this time. I was ready to tear my hair off but then I think I am going to try again ... Never say Die!!! Chakde India!
