Is world still a safe place to live in?

I wonder in the wake of a new disaster - either natural or man made, striking the planet every day, is Earth still a safe place to live? Or is there a need to find a new Earth which does not believe in shedding blood, values human life, ensures smile on every child's lips. If there exists no such place, we must transform what we are left with.
