Conversations

Conversations last a life time. However, they are like living organisms; they grow, whinge, smile and sleep as well. What if it takes days to come up with something meaningful.
the criteria to have a good conversation is simple. If it brings smile and happiness of the heart; well, them the point is made. Why, for no reason, does it digress into dark clouds of remorse and boredom. Sparks are not to be lost. Share a smile.

There comes a time in the day when you are not sure what to do next. Is it a time to take a back seat, chill down and relax. Take some deep breaths and think of nothing. Close eyes and imagine a beach with sun and sand.

Cold freezing winter evening, waiting for the day to break. How quiet are the days and how restless are these evening! Lunches, pretensions and dinners, oh! sometimes wonder why this cycle never ends. Winters are when rooftops thump with plastic and cloth made balls, walls, not only wickets but also as wicket keeper and slip fielders and even third man. Young boys become men; some become men and some become supermen. Let no one be devil's advocate.

NFS=Need For Speed

Often, that is the key to a situation. Act fast and you save the day. As often said, justice delayed is justice denied. Speed of thought is important. However, speed of execution is equally important. A simple deal, huh? Well, not really! There is a tendency to put it on back burner. But my question is what if the back burner is still burning?

Another day ... another exercise to explain the view point. Situations whether political, social or personal demand putting your point across. And mind you, that takes a lot of courage and strength of character. And then there is the risk of emotive appeal coming in picture and making it a bit too colorful - in worse case even blue and black. But view points stay where they are; ideologies stay where they are; in the end it is people v/s people, character v/s character.

I would like to start a debate here. The topic is simple - who is the mightiest of them all. Yes, who is the mightiest warrior of all? Now "mightiest warriors" strictly exclude modern day action heroes, politicians and dads. In fact, they must be restricted to historical figures only - either man or woman. Some of the finest examples of the specific personality type are Ashoka The Great, Alexander The Great, Akbar The Great, Genghis Khan, Julius Ceasar, Charlemagne, etc.

Semolina Pudding a.k.a Upma

Upma, seemingly easy to come up with...yet I put amchur in it; purely out of ignorance and not based on my culinary skills. Packet supposed to have black salt had amchur. But wonder why black salt is needed for Upma. Well, the cook ran out of common salt and hence black salt comes in picture. However, garlic and green chillies pickle saved the day and gues what ... the evening meal as well.
